Description



Product Safety & Risk Management

  • Perform comprehensive safety assessments and hazard analyses on products and systems.
  • Identify safety risks early in the design process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive safety integration throughout product development from concept through release.
  • Conduct , hazard analyses, and root cause investigations to address safety concerns.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and implement corrective actions when required.

Regulatory Compliance & Certification

  • Ensure compliance with global safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead certification activities with external testing laboratories and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain product certifications and proactively manage changing regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on compliance standards and best practices.

Testing & Validation

  • Develop and oversee product safety testing protocols.
  • Partner with quality and engineering teams to validate product performance and compliance.
  • Analyze test results and recommend improvements to enhance safety and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance and environmental health and safety considerations are addressed.
  • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, quality, and legal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison with certification bodies and regulatory organizations.

Documentation & Training

  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, reports, and regulatory submission packages.
  • Present compliance updates and certification status to leadership teams.
  • Train and mentor engineers on product safety and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Participate in industry standards development and contribute to evolving safety requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product safety, compliance, or regulatory engineering within a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international safety and compliance standards including SEMI, IEC, UL, CE, ISO, NFPA, RoHS, and related frameworks.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and root cause investigations.
  • Expertise in product certification processes and working with external testing agencies.
  • Experience evaluating functional safety systems and PLC-based safety architecture.
  • Familiarity with SISTEMA assessments and safety validation methodologies.
  • Experience supporting radiation-emitting equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CPSE, or CCP are preferred.
