As a Senior Nuclear Analyst, you will lead technical work in nuclear safety and licensing, act as a key point of contact for clients, and support project delivery from planning through execution. You will also mentor team members and contribute to the growth of Calian’s nuclear practice.

As a Senior Nuclear Analyst, you will lead technical work in nuclear safety and licensing, act as a key point of contact for clients, and support project delivery from planning through execution. You will also mentor team members and contribute to the growth of Calian’s nuclear practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead nuclear safety and licensing deliverables across projects
- Act as a subject matter expert and primary client interface
- Mentor and support development of junior team members
- Contribute to technical proposals and business development
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
- Identify opportunities to expand services and support growth
- Degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
- 6–8+ years of experience in nuclear safety, analysis, or licensing
- Experience in areas such as PSA, DSA, hazard analysis, or safety reporting
- Familiarity with CNSC regulations and applicable standards (e.g., REGDOCs)
- Experience with tools such as MCNP, SCALE, GOTHIC, MAAP, or similar
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical work
- Ability to obtain government of Canada security clearances
- P.Eng designation
- Participation in industry standards committees (e.g., CSA)
