Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure across Canada.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain the clients System Safety Management System for railway projects.

  • Lead safety assessment processes, including hazard identification, risk analysis, and safety requirements allocation.
  • Define safety requirements for all aspects of railway systems—civil, electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software.
  • Oversee implementation of Safety Integrity Levels () and ensure robust documentation.

Your Qualifications/Experience

  • P.Eng designation or eligibility for certification in a Canadian province (or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of experience in System Safety Management, ideally with large-scale railway systems.
  • Proven application of EN50126, EN50128, and EN50129 standards; familiarity with CMREA and IEC61508 is an asset.
  • Expertise in developing safety-related documentation and implementing ALARP risk reduction strategies.
  • Ability to foster system safety awareness and competence within multidisciplinary teams.
